Times Are Tough: Steal This Idea for Your Internet Stream

Three Austin, TX-based  employment experts have launched a live Saturday morning Internet show aimed at job seekers on blogtalkradio.com. Could you do something similar on your station’s Internet stream?  A weekly show, or maybe a week-long series of programs to stream live in middays, when job seekers are likely to be at home and engaged in their search?  Seems very sellable to me, especially if packaged with on-air promos, and perhaps a station-organized job-hunting seminar.  In addition to generating revenue, the show would position the station as topical, and engaged in the community.

Yes, it would take some time and effort to make this happen.  But, hey, the talk radio format isn’t going to magically secure it’s own future.  Innovation, experimentation and hard work are required now more than ever.
